Karen Sewell has been an awesome addition to our team. Her vast knowledge of autism and "hands-on" mentoring have transformed our problems to solutions. Thank you does not seem adequate.

Karen consistently provides practical suggestions for children who face the challenges of autism. Her materials are “user-friendly” and functional for all ages. She has insight into the way people with autism process information about their surroundings. This insight makes her intervention approaches unique as well as successful.

Karen,
Wow! You are an amazing woman! I am a special ed aide at (withheld) Elementary and have seen you in action in our Resource Room. I have gleaned much information from your methods and let me tell you that it works.
I work with an autistic child who is very unpredictable but teachable when he wants to learn. Often, it is a struggle to get him to do his seat work. I have used your methods of firmness and consistency among other things and have seen a positive change in the way Taylor responds when it is time for him to work.
To be quite frank, I think I have actually "learned" Taylor's ways and can use what I have observed from you to get the results to help Taylor reach his learning goals. What I mean by learned is that I can more easily separate the behavior from the autism.
I am so glad to have met you and observe you. It has truly made my job as Taylor's aide more understandable and manageable. Now if only there was a way to make it less exhausting!
